A few days ago, a scene unfolded at our house that deeply moved us:
A man rang our doorbell. Ania from the office answered, and he asked if we were a non-profit organization—and if he could use one of the rooms if it was free. He seemed homeless, seeking warmth, security, and perhaps a conversation.
Ania didn’t know how to respond at that moment. He asked about sharing a meal or attending an event, since non-profit work is, after all, „for everyone.“ He also said he wanted to come back later when there were more people—perhaps he could get to know them.
This situation was moving—and challenging at the same time.
At that moment, we lacked both the structures and the resources to provide adequate assistance. And it once again confronted us with some questions we cannot simply ignore:
How inclusive are we really?
Who are we here for – and who haven’t we been here for so far?
Do you need a certain status, a home, or stability to be „welcome“ here?
This encounter reminded us that non-profit status is more than just a formal association status. It’s an attitude, a responsibility—and perhaps a mission that we are currently rediscovering.

In December, we will dedicate ourselves to an honest review
Are we merely fulfilling our non-profit association’s formal responsibilities, or are we truly living them?
Which forms of community-oriented work do we want to strengthen?
Which programs support not only individuals but also community and societal well-being?
How can we become more structurally efficient in order to accomplish more of what we truly want to bring into the world?
December will be a month of internal reflection for us.
We will take time to pause and critically examine our structures, responsibilities, and vision.
We’ve reached a point where we say:
We want to redevelop and maintain the structures of the association – and for the past year, we’ve been on a positive and hopeful path, driven by our shared desire for stable, meaningful work.
We’ve successfully overcome the initial hurdles, are financially sound, have tried things out, conducted processes… and now want to learn from our mistakes and reorganize, realign, and focus more strongly on our core priorities.
December will be a month of reflection.
Not of stagnation – but of consciously reconnecting:
What do we actually contribute as an institution?
What impact do we want to have in the city, in our neighborhood, in the community?

A Self-Examination
We remain convinced that our current focus – healing, bodywork, community, and holistic approach – is valuable.
But is that enough to truly have a „community-benefit“ impact?
How do we create a structure that supports us and our work, and how do we develop programs that have social relevance?
The self-organized research groups – including those focused on trauma, touch, yoga, art therapy, and honest communication – remain important learning environments where collaborative and critical work takes place.
The diverse courses that have developed over the past 1.5 years, and especially the closed groups and individual sessions that utilize a wide range of healing methods, are a great source of joy for us. Thank you for your trust and collaboration.
Here is a call for collaboration.
Since all efforts to maintain the naturopathic training in its old format have so far been unsuccessful, the 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. time slot on certain weekdays is available for new use. If you know of an institution looking for space, or have a project that might align with our naturopathic purpose and holistic approach, please feel free to contact us.
We are also reviewing our internal organizational structure.
This process indicates that we may need to abandon some structural projects if they prove ineffective, in order to focus more clearly and effectively on our core tasks.
We are confident that we are well-positioned, although there is still much to be done.
