English version
In November we will delve into a question that has been on our minds for a long time:
Is healing (too) apolitical?
Our name – Healing Arts Initiative – focuses on healing. We understand healing not just individually, but as a collective and political process that changes society and community.
We would also like to briefly explain how we live our sociocratic structure and how our diverse offerings contribute to social change. What does politics mean in this context? When does political action begin?
Our vision is aimed at people who enjoy being in community and are open to new perspectives. In workshops, courses, individual sessions and social programs, we and various instructors create spaces in which people – regardless of age, religion, gender or sexual orientation – engage in self-care, personal development and alternative medical and therapeutic approaches.
We are convinced that when people learn, research and listen to one another, more than individual healing occurs. In these self-organized learning and research spaces, a contribution to a healthier, connected world grows.

Topic of the month:
We were often confronted – mostly indirectly, sometimes with a shitstorm and sometimes with graffiti in the stairwell – with the question:
Is healing (too) apolitical?
One aspect of our vision is the connection between healing and fundamental humanistic and political consciousness. We do not see healing as a private retreat, but as a necessary part of social transformation. In addition to physical aspects, this includes individual trauma work as well as the level of collective trauma, which is difficult to access but no less important and connects us all.
If we want to deal with the aftermath of colonialism, war, patriarchy or other historical injustices, we need spaces in which pain and history can be expressed – and new forms of connection and responsibility can arise from this. We invite these spaces.
People who remove themselves from capitalist, exploitative functioning in order to live their true needs are also more resilient on a collective level.
The initiative also includes therapists who incorporate these aspects into their individual work – be it in talk therapy, body work, trauma or gestalt work. We would like to introduce you to three practitioners:
Larissa
I am convinced that the world will be healthier if we learn to accept ourselves. As a naturopath for psychotherapy, I accompany you in recognizing neglected needs and freeing yourself from entrenched patterns. More information: www.du-bist-und-damit-genug.eu
Dorothea
In body-oriented psychotherapy and emotion-focused couple therapy (EFT), I accompany you in hearing body wisdom, releasing hardened dynamics and making real encounters possible again. Contact: www.therapie-weigel.jimdosite.com
Jana
I accompany you through gestalt therapy in individual sessions, seminars and groups on your journey of discovery between thoughts, feelings and body. Conversation and movement, awareness and feeling flow together in my work. Contact: jana@gestalt-in-movement.de
People in training also use the Ini’s rooms to offer conversation and couples therapies under supervision, which on the one hand creates a low-threshold offer and at the same time supports young practitioners.
Self-organized research groups also meet at the Ini – on topics such as trauma, touch, yoga, art therapy and honest sharing.
Self-organized research groups also meet at the Ini – on topics such as trauma, touch, yoga, art therapy and honest sharing. Here we research, practice, question and learn together in solidarity.
Formats such as FoRT (Women Organize Radical Therapy), MRT (Men’s Radical Therapy) and RT TINQ (Trans Inter Non-Binary and Queers) are safer spaces to make therapy accessible together.
If you would like to set up a research group, please contact us at: kontakt@heilkunst-initiative.de
In addition to the offerings of various instructors, we research and work on a living, internal sociocratic structure in which (collective) healing and socio-political action intertwine. By forgoing hierarchies and trying to include all voices and needs equally, we create a space in which everyone is heard. In intensive processes, we question our values and experiment with a structural alternative that is based on participation, transparency and shared responsibility.
Our Cultural Cuisine also contributes to understanding and debate: according to the Stone Soup principle, people came together, brought ingredients, stories and perspectives with them – and cooked together. Between pots, spoons and laughter, conversations arose about origins, migration, East-West experiences, formative female figures and the dishes of our childhood. This lived intersectionality reminds us that identity is always interwoven – and that community arises when we truly listen to one another.
Participate & help shape
We invite you to reflect with us on how healing and politics intertwine and how we can initiate change together. Maybe you would like to get to know our initiative, contribute your ideas or make an offer yourself? Here you will find the opportunities to participate
